YES kids to present at UNH Institute on Disability 12th Annual Autism Summer Institute. 

 

The presentation is scheduled for Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at 2:30PM PM at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Nashua, New Hampshire.

 

“Youth with Autism and their Plans for the Future” is a perfect compliment to this year’s conference theme “A New View of Students with ASD: Implications for Inclusive Education”

Part 2 Spring 2010  second interviews...

 

 
Guiding topics for YES Case studies/Photo Voice (Click at least 1 picture for each topic but NOT more than two)
1.       Friendships & social life
2.       Future plans: Career, education, others
3.       Leadership
4.       Self advocacy
5.       Inclusion
 
You will need to bring signed copies of the parent consent (yellow) and youth assent (Blue) forms before the first interview begins. Each photograph that has a recognizable face (of aperson) should be accompanied by a signed photo release (white) form.
 
A photo release is NOT necessary for if
·         A person happens to be in the photograph
·         Large groups of people are photographed
·         The face is not recognizable
 
Before clicking a photograph
·         Pause and reflect
·         Respect privacy
·         Ask permission
·         Explain what you are doing & why
·         Obtain Photo Release
·         Say Thanks
